The human body is a never-ending sprawl of complexities with a big ‘ol think box at the centre of it all. Our brains are ultimately designed to protect us – its why we feel uncomfortable going into the unknown or why adrenaline kicks in when we are at risk.
However, sometimes it turns the other way. What we think is a ‘natural’ response is actually the start of a self-destruct sequence – every second bringing us closer to emotional annihilation. If you’re struggling currently please give this a read as its going to be focussed on trying to avoid hitting that big red button. Before we can even start to learn how to avoid this, we need to be able to spot it…
But why wasn’t so important - the facts were still the same. I was unhappy with it.
There are those that just take raw emotion, pack it into crude sounds and squiggles, then fire them at others. Something as strong as “I love you” or “I can’t take anymore”. You know its gravity – you can hang on each syllable- feel them in the pit of your stomach. I want you to imagine the last time you heard the phrase “thank you”. What could you see? What could you hear in the silence after? How did it make you feel?
